HOW IT ALL BEGAN...

Real Zepeda was founded by a father and a son- Oscar Zepeda Sr. and Oscar Zepeda Jr.

Oscar Sr. raised Oscar Jr. and his sister, Michelle, as a single father in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Real Zepeda fue fundada por un padre y un hijo: Oscar Zepeda Sr. y Oscar Zepeda Jr. Oscar Sr. crió a Oscar Jr. y su hermana, Michelle, como padre soltero en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México.

Oscar Jr. grew up loving nothing more than soccer and spent time playing professional soccer in Mexico before being offered a scholarship to move to the United States to play college soccer in Massachusetts.

Oscar Jr. creció amando nada más que el fútbol y pasó un tiempo jugando fútbol profesional en México antes de que le ofrecieran una beca para mudarse a los Estados Unidos para jugar fútbol universitario en Massachusetts.

Oscar Jr. boarded a plane to Boston in the late summer of 2013, nervous to leave his home but eager to take advantage of higher education and a new adventure.

Although it was much colder than he was anticipating, New England quickly made Oscar Jr. feel right at home.

After coming to watch his son play soccer, both Zepeda men quickly began viewing New England as their second home, falling in love with the people and the spirit of the region. In school, Oscar Jr. was studying international business and marketing, and back in Mexico, Oscar Sr. had been working in the exportation industry. The father and son team began talking about how they could create something that will bring a unique tequila experience to the United States.

Después de venir a ver a su hijo jugar fútbol, ambos Zepeda rápidamente comenzaron a ver a Nueva Inglaterra como su segundo hogar, enamorándose de la gente y el espíritu de la región. En la escuela, Oscar Jr. estudiaba negocios internacionales y mercadotecnia y en México, Oscar Sr. había estado trabajando en la industria de exportación.El equipo de padre e hijo comenzó a hablar sobre cómo podrían crear algo que traiga una experiencia única de tequila a los Estados Unidos.

Jalisco is known as the home of tequila, and the two recognized that the North East of the United States was thirsty for a different kind of tequila experience. That is how the idea for Real Zepeda was born.

The Zepeda men did years of market research to determine what exactly customers and industry business owners wanted a tequila to taste like. Real Zepeda's slightly smoky taste and signature smooth finish is no accident. They knew that the people of New England would help them create a tequila that would stand out and be enjoyed anywhere in the world.

Jalisco es conocido como el hogar del tequila, y los dos reconocieron que el noreste de los Estados Unidos estaba sediento de una experiencia diferente con el tequila. Así nació la idea de Real Zepeda.

Los hombres Zepeda hicieron años de investigación de mercado para determinar a qué exactamente quería el mercado americano que supiera un tequila. El sabor ligeramente ahumado de Real Zepeda y su característico acabado agradable al paladar no son un accidente. Sabían que la gente de Nueva Inglaterra los ayudaría a crear un tequila que se destacaría y se disfrutaría en cualquier parte del mundo.

After of lots hard work and trial and error, the only thing the Zepeda's had left to do was name their tequila. They decided that the best way to show their pride in their tequila was to name it after what they valued most- family.

Real Zepeda officially launched in January of 2019.

Después de mucho trabajo y prueba y error, lo único que les quedaba por hacer a los Zepeda era nombrar su tequila. Decidieron que la mejor manera de mostrar su orgullo por su tequila era ponerle el nombre de lo que más valoraban: la familia.

Real Zepeda fue introducido al mercado oficialmente en enero de 2019.

Our purpose is to promote and preserve the culture and heritage of Mexico by bringing an authentic tequila experience to the market. We are committed to creating a sustainable business that positively impacts our communities by providing job opportunities for workers in Mexico and our immigrant community in the United States, particularly our Latino community.

To achieve our purpose and vision, we have a vertical integration business model that allows us to control the entire production process from the agave fields in Mexico to the bottle on the shelf in the United States. This ensures the quality of our product and enables us to provide fair wages and working conditions for our workers in Mexico.

We believe that a successful business should not only focus on profit but also create value for all stakeholders, including consumers, employees, suppliers, government, communities, investors, and shareholders. As part of our commitment to creating a social impact, we partner with organizations to empower minorities and create opportunities for youth.

We believe that our tequila brand represents our heritage and our goal is to promote and preserve our culture while creating a sustainable business that positively impacts our communities.

OUR LOGO

Our logo is more than just an image; it's a representation of our values, commitments, and the Zepeda family's heritage. It features the colors blue and silver, each with their own powerful meanings. Blue represents stability, tranquility, and positivity. Silver represents wisdom, elegance, and professionalism. The shield in the logo represents our family's values and virtues, as well as our commitment to caring for nature and promoting the circle of life. The seven agaves symbolize the planets and the four elements of nature, while the JIMADOR represents hard work, discipline, and the heart of our Tequila. At bottom, the initials OZ, in honor of the patriarch of the family. Oscar Mario Zepeda Rivas, born in 1942. He instilled in his descendants the values of honor, loyalty, and hard work, which are at the core of our business philosophy. Our logo is not just a symbol, but a representation of who we are and what we stand for. We are committed to being real and the empowerment of the Latinos in the United States and the hard-working people in Mexico.
